Franklin County General District Court

Over the years, we’ve represented a vast array of traffic and criminal cases in Franklin County General District Court. Timothy Allen represents the Commonwealth in criminal cases and serves as its chief prosecutor. Jacqueline Brubaker oversees court issues in general district court as its clerk.

Both criminal and traffic cases are heard on the following schedule in Franklin County General District Court:

  • Arraignments: Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.
  • Uncontested or unrepresented cases: Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.
  • Attorney-represented cases with assigned times: Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In Franklin County, continuances are granted by a judge on motion. A defense attorney in Roanoke County can help you handle this process and can even appear on your behalf in some instances.
